Our History...
1997
Then Assistant Fire Chief, Robert Triozzi, while working with the United Nations in the Balkans, Africa, Southeast Asia and having fought fires in Sarajevo with his Bosnian colleagues while the city was being bombed, realized that fireifghters in these poor and war torn countries needed help. He decided that an organization made up of an international pool of firefighters to help these less fortunate firefighters become efficient and to work safely with the resources at their disposal was necessary. Thus the Fire Rescue Development Program (F.R.D.P.) was born.

1998
Assistant Chief Triozzi, as a U.N. staff member could not directly create the F.R.D.P. and charged Chicago firefighter Brooks Watson to lay the groundwork of getting this idea registered as a non profit, non governmental organization.
